STEPFORGE PRIVACY
Privacy policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
StepForge is a pedometer and walking coach for Android. This policy explains what the app stores, when it uses device permissions, and how you can remove your data.
Data stored on your device
StepForge stores activity and profile data locally on your device, including step counts, daily goals, walking sessions, height, weight, BMI estimates, reminder preferences, calibration results, and app settings. This build does not create user accounts, upload activity history to a server, use advertising SDKs, or include analytics SDKs.
Optional location
GPS route tracking is optional. Location is requested only when you enable route recording for a walking or running session. Route points are stored locally with that session and can be deleted by deleting app data.
Notifications
StepForge may request notification permission for goal alerts and daily reminders. You can turn these off from the Profile screen or Android system settings.
Health and fitness notice
Step counts, distance, calories, BMI, active minutes, and coaching suggestions are estimates for general wellness. StepForge does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Data sharing
StepForge does not sell personal data. When you use the share feature, Android lets you choose another app and you control what is shared.
Deleting data
Use Profile > Reset whole app to delete local profile, step history, sessions, plans, reminders, and settings from this device. You can also remove the app from Android settings.
